Just wanted to share something from my quiet time this Sunday morning. I know how to create, but I need reminders all the time to keep me awake, aware, and in alignment. I am sharing in case someone else out there needs a reminder as well. Peace and Love.
"The secret of making
something work in your lives is
first of all
the deep desire to make it work;
then the faith and belief
that it can work;
then to hold that clear definite
vision in your consciousness
and see it working out
step by step,
without one thought
of doubt or disbelief."

Unity of Joy
Good Morning,
Wanted to share from my morning reading on the unity of joy from Science of Mind. I thought it was so beautiful and such a wonderful reminder.
"If we gaze longingly at joy, it will make its home with us.... If we seek the Divine in men and women, we shall find it, and be entertaining angels unaware."
It goes on to say that "Joy is deeper than happiness, more meaningful than pleasure. It is a companion to deep levels of peace and goodwill... We have a deep spiritual unity with everyone on this planet, not just with those who are like us. When we recognize this, we can find ways to bridge our differences and bring out the best in each other. We can give our gifts and talents, compassion, listening, and small acts of kindness."
It is truly amazing that when we begin our day with joy we see love and connections in each and everything we encounter.
May your day be filled with joy and oneness.

Easter Sunday
This is what I want to share on Easter Sunday after completing 40 Days to an Awakened Christ-Consciousness exercises. It was a wonderful and challenging journey of releasing and establishing and accepting new things into my life. One of the things I am definitely releasing is my fear of losing my loved ones. These words were brought back to my consciousness just this weekend, and I give such thanks for the reminder on this holy and glorious day of accepting and living out a new consciousness.
This is from The Prophet by Gibran and is his piece on Death.
"You would know the secret of death.
But how shall you find it unless you seek it in the heart of life?
If you would indeed behold the spirit of death, open your heart wide unto the body of life.
For life and death are one, even as the rive and the sea are one.
For what it is to die but to stand naked in the wind and to melt into the sun?
And what is it to cease breathing, but to free the breath from its restless tides,
that it may rise and expand and see God unencumbered?
Only when you drink from the river of silence shall you indeed sing.
And when you have reached the mountain top, then you shall begin to climb.
And when the earth shall claim your limbs, then shall you truly dance."

The Lenten Season
I must confess that I really do enjoy the Lenten Season. From my childhood days of attending Catholic schools, I look forward to 40 days of preparing for Easter. Of course, over the years my ideas about Easter have changed, but I still enjoy these 40 days in bringing about a new consciousness, a new way to experience and connect with Christ.
I remember the days when I would give up things for lent, but now I think about what I can add to my life during this time.
This Lenten Season I am using a wonderful booklet from Unity titled, 40 Days to an Awakened Christ-Consciousness. It is a wonderful little book that has you releasing something one day and then establishing or accepting something the next day. The first day of lent we were asked to release self-doubt and the next day we were asked to accept ourselves. I especially loved day seven and eight where we released feelings of fear and established courage. Today I was asked to release illness. Tomorrow I get to establish health. It is really a very powerful exercise and the booklet provides space to journal as well.
This morning I just wanted to share a few words from the introduction by Eric Butterworth. He writes, "If you must give up something, give up the tendency to consider yourself weak and undisciplined. Turn from the simple act of giving up things to a more positive commitment to take up the practice of high-level thinking." He goes on to quote Emerson who refers to prayer as "the contemplation of the facts of life from the highest point of view." Butterworth says that this is a great idea. He says we should form the habit of reaching for the highest point of view in all our dealings. He believes this is what it means to pray without ceasing. He suggests that we take up the practice of speaking the positive word; that we commit ourselves to a diet of words that are positive and loving.
I pray that you are practicing high-level thinking and keeping your vibrations high and that when Easter arrives you will have truly awakened the Christ-Consciousness within.

Balancing our lives
Found this in my quiet time this week and just loved the reminder of the importance of taking care of ourselves which can only help to bring balance and peace to our lives.
"Only a person who is emotionally and spiritually full and balanced has a wellspring of love, peace, and joy to share. Being our best through generous self-care is the finest way to be of service to others."
So, I will make sure I get to the gym today, take quiet time, do something fun and exciting I enjoy, and fill up my own cup today.
Hope you do something wonderful for yourself today and fill up your cup each day of this New Year.
